The two events, hosted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, welcomed 1,300 young athletes from 47 European countries. Despite strong Bora winds (70 km/h), the opening ceremony in Piazza Unità d’Italia in Trieste was reorganized in just 10 minutes, showcasing promptness and professionalism. The Olympic torch was lit by Jonathan Milan in front of 3,000 spectators. The closing ceremony in Udine celebrated sport, European unity, and Fair Play, with a symbolic tribute to Ukraine and the handover to Georgia.
